The Lexar NM790 is a high-speed NVMe SSD. This is the 1TB model in the M.2 2280 size (22mm x 80mm), running on a PCIe Gen 4x4 interface.

Up to 7400MB/s read, 6500MB/s write - near the top of what consumer NVMe drives reach.

It needs an M.2 slot that supports NVMe drives (M-key, 2280 length). Most machines from about 2016 onward have one. In an older Gen 3 slot it works at Gen 3 speed. Ask our team if you are unsure - tell us your model.

Only in a PCIe Gen 4 M.2 slot. In a Gen 3 slot it runs at roughly half that, which is still far quicker than any SATA SSD or hard drive.

This is the standard model without a heatsink. Many motherboards include an M.2 heatsink. Ask our team if you need the heatsink version.
