How the repair process works
- Bring the laptop in to the Luthuli Avenue workshop. Send-in repairs from outside Nairobi are also accepted; risk transfers to Priscom once the item physically reaches the shop. For a warranty-covered fault, return-delivery costs are initially the customer's unless otherwise agreed; if confirmed as covered, Priscom may cover or reimburse reasonable return-delivery costs. For a paid, non-warranty send-in repair, the customer normally pays delivery costs to and from Priscom unless otherwise agreed.

- Repair. Many stocked-part jobs are completed in approximately 30 minutes to an hour; more complex jobs get a collection date after assessment.
- Test and hand-over. The machine is tested in front of you, and you get a receipt showing the repair, the part fitted and the guarantee period.

Every repair at Priscom carries a written 30-day workmanship guarantee covering the specific repair performed. Replacement parts are covered per the warranty applicable to that part. Repair or replace: how to decide
Repair the laptop if the quote is less than roughly a third of what the same machine is worth today and the rest of it is sound. Lean toward replacing it if the repair is more than half its current value, the laptop is more than five to six years old, or it already has other faults. A cracked screen or a worn battery on an otherwise good three-year-old business laptop is almost always worth fixing. If it isn't, Priscom will tell you, and can show you a tested Ex-UK replacement instead.
